PDF files can help with link building

WebSanity Internet Marketing logoNot only does Google index PDF content (although make sure that you optimise your PDF fields to have it index well), but it will also follow links in those PDFs and pass authority to any sites that are linked to from within that document.

Key takeaway: if you can produce compelling free documents in PDF format,  ‘how to’ guides, checklists etc., that you can distribute around the web, then those PDFs will pass on authority to your website: far easier that having to ask a website owner for a link to your site.

Just another case of how writing ‘link bait‘ can benefit your website.
